By Earlene McGee

There are different games and sports today that make the lives of many people meaningful. One of such games is tennis that many young and old people find dear to their hearts. To facilitate the game better, the government and organizations in charge of sports set certain courts where the players would be having the game. However, this may not possible if they do not maintain these courts in the right condition. That is why: they take the tennis court maintenance services seriously.

One of the ways of maintaining the courts in good condition is removing the mildew and mold in the corners and the shaded areas. In most cases, it is possible for the mold to grow in the corners of the courts where the debris accumulate most. This is common especially with the outdoor courts that are exposed to all weather conditions. The mildew and mold make the field slippery for players and this affects the quality of their sport activities.

There are some courts which are usually found in enclosed areas. These are more protected from the weather but they are also exposed to dirt and dust. You should ensure that you clean the courts regularly and use blowers to remove all the dust. You should use cleaning detergents and other disinfectants to clean the surface. This ensures that the dust that could accumulate in the enclosed room does not affect the players.

For outdoors courts, ensure that they have proper drainage systems. During the rainy season, the surface becomes water logged and some water could stagnate around the playing surface. Ensure that the courts have sufficient trenches which drain the water away. This helps the players ensuring that you can even use the lawn when it is raining.

Some items can also become a bother while carrying out your activity on the courts. Among these items, it includes broken glasses sticks and papers and so many others. There should be no substances on the playground since some of them can cause harm to you and to other players. That is why you need to ascertain that you carry out thorough inspections before you undertake any activity.

Many people do not know that the pine needles, fruit peels, old papers and tree leaves that spread on your courts stain them and give them unappealing appearance. Moreover, these foreign objects also become viable breeding grounds for the mold and mildew. It is important to ensure that such objects are not on the courts especially during winter when mold and mildew grow vibrantly.

It is always a good idea to hire professionals to check on the drainage systems of the courts. This helps in ensuring that water during the rainy seasons drain properly. If you do not check on the drainage systems of the courts, you will not encourage players to participate enthusiastically due to falls and slips.

Finally, you should discourage the members of the public from carrying out some of the activities in these courts. You should put warning signs and banners at the entrance of the courts indicating that no one should ride bikes or use skateboards on the courts. Moreover, they should not drag benches, chairs or throw foods and drinks on the courts.
