The French bulldog has a long history in Europe, particularly England and France. It was developed in England, but became popularized in France. It ended up in France after be carried by lacemakers who were seeking for employment opportunities following the French Revolution. In France, the breed became very popular and increased in number significantly while its population and popularity in England dwindled. As a result of the popularity, the breed acquired it frenchie moniker.

These dogs are a very rare breed. People who place orders from breeders often have to wait for long before they can get a chance to bring one home. Therefore, when in search of a French Bulldog Missouri offers a good place to visit. Missouri is home to many breeders who specialize in this breed. The breeders sell puppies to clients of different types at affordable prices.

The French bulldog was once a ratter and a watchdog, but its use has changed significantly over the years. Currently, they are only used as show dogs and house pets. Walking them daily helps to keep the weight at a good level. People who have backyards can release them to exercise on their own instead of walking them.

This breed is highly prone to heat exhaustion. As such, they must not be exercised when the temperatures are hot. Cool morning and evenings are the best times for exercising and active play. Training frenchies can be a little hard because they are very intelligent and hence stubborn. However, there are many techniques of training and trying each one in turn can help to identify which one is more suitable.

For better results, training should be made to look like a game with a lot of fun and rewards. Crate training is very important for a frenchie, even if they will eventually be allowed the freedom to move freely in the house upon becoming adults. Crate-training is meant to avoid the dangers that puppies pose due to their playful nature.

Feeding should be done in two meals in a day. The recommended amount of food is 1 to 1.5 cups a day. The food should be high-quality and dry. The amount of food fed to the dog is often determined by various factors. Some of these factors include activity level, metabolism, build, size, and age.

Dogs like people, have individual needs. As such, the care provided to them to be customized to suit their specific needs. One can make a remarkable family pet from a frenchie if they start socializing and training it at young age.
