Pets can be the saving grace that anyone can have in their lives. This is not to only say that the companionship they offer can help one to cope with feelings of loneliness and stress. Apart from that you get to have someone to cuddle with that is essentially a ball of fur that loves you like you are the whole world.

One type of pup you may want to consider getting are the spaniels. It is very easy to fall in love with king Charles Spaniels given that tend to be gentle, playful and comfort loving. They have this regal look of a little prince or princess that just seems too delicate for this world. They go at about a foot tall and weigh between 13 to eighteen pounds.

This is a dog you would want for companionship and not exactly for protection. While these ones may be playful, they are not exactly the type to bark and scare away thieves. You leave that job to the German Shepherds and Pitbulls of the world. But if what you are yearning for is affection and love, then the spaniel should be the perfect choice.

That is not to say that these pups are lazy. But these are lapdogs that also love comfort being pet by their owners in a stationary position. You may have to take them for a walk once in a while, but they should do fine just living in apartment like conditions.

The lapdog is very loyal, smart and relatively easy to train. The best way to train them is through positive reinforcement. So if you want them to learn a new trick, a treat should be attached as a reward. They make the perfect companions since spaniels can be brought around traveling and accompanying their human in daily tasks.

Since these pups are very gentle and loving and are easily carried around, they make the list of top breeds to get as therapy dogs. They return the nourishment and love that their owners give them with so much affection and loyalty, you cannot say no to their charm. They are easily the equivalent of your human best friend minus the sarcastic comments.

It is known that dogs have been with humans since time in memorial. They have been assisting people on some things due to their special abilities of smell and hearing. It comes to no surprise that dogs are dubbed as mans best friend. Not only can they help with the more primitive stuff like hunting, now, it has been scientific proof that they can offer significant assistance with therapy.

Scientifically, There has been proof that using specific canines can help promote the release of dopamine and oxytocin and results to stabilized mood swings. Children who may feel socially isolated can benefit from this since it effectively addresses confidence and interaction issues. They can get talk a lot with the pups and and interact with them without the anxiety that is attached to talking to people.

The presence and affection of these canines are known to increase the brains production of Cxytocin and Dopamine. For children, this could mean that it is easier for them to manage their emotions of anger and hyper sensitivity when the dog is around. This also greatly helps them socialize since they have formed a relationship with another being.
