President Obama recently shared his strategy for fighting ISIS on national television. He described it as a new terrorism threat sweeping across the world. He assumes that we will believe everything he tells us. But the plain fact is that his new plans are probably not going to make much difference.
After months of dithering, the president is expected finally to outline some concrete steps for dealing with the operators of the "Islamic caliphate" in Syria and Iraq. The fact that he'll be doing so on another eve of 9/11, some 13 years after the original 9/11 terrorist slaughter, isn't just ironic - it plays right into the hands of the new reigning Islamic terrorists, ISIS.
It is almost as if the President was acting on a script in deciding to give the terrorists so much publicity on such a memorable day. It is no small feat to ask the head of one of the greatest nations on earth to recognize their power to threaten and intimidate. If you remember, 9/11 was the day the Islamic fundamentalists celebrated a huge victory against the Great Satan of America.
Our president has let us down once again. It's not enough that he has shown a complete lack of competence in steering the US economy. We now find ourselves in the depths of an astonishing national debt. Things may soon collapse on us. We may lose all our money.
It looks like its time for us to be afraid again. Our president wants us to take this terrorism threat seriously. He has described the evolution of a new variation of Al Qaeda, which is called ISIS. Analysts appear to have figured out that there is a very good chance that this new breed of villains plan to strike terror in the United States itself.
Simply put, the operators of ISIS - many of whom are Americans, Britons and other Europeans who were second-generation westerners or have turned to Islam out of desperation - will have much freer rein to inflict terror in the United States and Europe because they have passports and even western citizenship.
What shall we do now about terrorism and the even greater threat to our economy? Obviously, take common sense steps to take care of ourselves and our families. We live in a climate of great uncertainty. We need to turn to the only safe haven we really have: gold and silver coins. Think of these investment instruments as God's Money.
