The Important Tips Regarding Septic Tank Riser Installation

By Scott Parker

Not many people know the importance of this round diameter pipe in their reservoirs. This article will expound more on the importance of these structures and go further into explaining how one can install them without hiring an expert. Septic tank riser installation is not a complicated process.

One precaution that one should observe is to place a childproof cover on top of this septic tank riser, drywell or cesspool. There are some underground chambers that are partially above ground while others are buried approximately six feet deep. Deep putrefying reservoirs should have some service riser installed. This is to allow easy access for inspection, baffle repair and pumping.

The following steps are to be followed if one is to carry out the installation process successfully. First one needs the following items at the site before starting the process. Buy a Tuf-Tite tank ring abbreviated as TAR which is an adapter Ring, get a kit for riser rings, Butyl rope and stainless steel screws. These are just but a few of the items you will need for the job.

Once the items are assembled in the site, measure the hole size in your putrefying reservoir. Purchase adapter and also risers that are slightly larger in diameter than the hole. Remove all the debris on top of septic reservoir and ensure it is clear of any dirt. Generally doing this will guarantee one of a good and tight seal. The next step is applying butyl rope to your tank adapter ring.

PVC is considered to be more expensive but very light compared to concrete and polyethylene. The second step is deciding where to install your risers. These devices replace tank lids and make it easy to access septic reservoirs. This access can actually be installed above the ground level. In case the area around the structure has long grass, it is good to cut it.

The next step is to make things around that area look nice again by simply backfilling the soil. Another vital precaution to watch out for is any signs of deep drain-fields which simply imply poor septic affluent processing. As a safety precaution, it is recommended that leach field covers are very sound and secure because falling into one can be fatal.

On the bottom of every riser there will actually be recessed ring. Consider putting strip of butyl rope on your ring. This makes your riser water tight. Take your round large diameter pipe and put it on adapter ring. Then screw into place using your stainless steel screws. You can actually keep on adding this round large diameter pipe as many times as possible until you get the desired height.

By adding more putrefying effluent treatment techniques can actually correct some of these conditions but worth noting is that there big difference between effective septic effluent disposals with that septic effluent treatment. A deep tank does not imply that absorption area should also be deep. These are some of precautions and notes to observe during your installation process.
